Six hour road trip with a 4 week old?

My boyfriend,baby and I are going back to visit our parents. It's a 6 hour drive. We're going so they can meet their newest granddaughter =). Our daughter is almost 4 weeks old and this will be her first 'road trip'. Both of our parents really want to see her but they can't make the drive theirself so we're taking her to them since they want to see her.

She's our first child so we're not sure what to take from home and what to just wait and buy once there,how much to take,you know things like that. Admittedly I'm also nervous about having her in the truck that long. Besides diapers,bottles,milk,pacifier and clothes,what else should we take along since we'll be staying there for two weeks? Any other good advice?

Parent's insurance policy?

Here's the deal. I was pulled over last night and the officer didn't give me a citation for what I did, but he did give me this "no proof of insurance" deal.

I handed the officer my insurance card, but it was expired. He allowed me to drive home instead of impounding my car, since this is my first offense.

I talked to my mom and she told me that I was covered under the insurance we had. We have four cars and ALL of them are insured.

Here's the twist, I was driving the car that my name wasn't under, but shouldn't I be able to drive any of the cars my family owns? I'm currently under the truck, but I was driving the sedan instead that night. So technically I should be covered on all four vehicles, correct?

I'm basically living two separate lives?

I'm 26, married with two young children. My wife and I have been together for 9 years and I love her with all of my heart. I made a mistake and cheated on her about a year and a half ago. I couldn't keep a secret that big, so I ended up telling her. It put a strain on our marriage, but we worked through it for the sake of our kids. What she doesn't know now, is that I continued to see the woman I cheated on her with. It was strictly just a sexual relationship, but it turned into something more - we fell in love. She lives in a different city, so I lied to her and said I'm a truck driver so I travel most of the time. (She doesn't know I'm married with children.)

I'm a business executive, so I already work long hours so my wife understands that I'm not home a lot, too. This gives me time to drive to the city where my girlfriend is staying, so I can spend some time with her.

I don't know what to do. I love both women - my wife and my girlfriend. My girlfriend wants to get married and start a family of our own, but she doesn't know I already have a family. I feel as guilty as ever, and I am completely stumped.

Any ideas on what to do? Please don't judge me and tell me how much of an a**hole I am, because I already know. I don't really need to be reminded. Just give me advice, if you can.

Truck noise driving me bonkers?? 10 Pts?

Everytime I get in and out of my truck it makes a sqeak creak noise that is pretty loud and noticeable. And when I go over ANY bumps it will make a loud noise like jumping up and down on a freaking mattress, it's not the shocks because I replaced them...and the ball joint is somewhat worn and cracked but I siliconed it and everything else under the truck. I'm getting upper control arm bushings tomorrow, what else could it be?

Ok, I just found out my boyfriend of 3 years is cheating on me with a 17 year old girl.

I went to bring him dinner at work, like he asked me to, and also bought him a pack of cigarettes, with my own money.
Well he sat in my car and ate the dinner I made for him, I'm talking a full meal. He kissed me good bye, told me he loved me and went back inside. Well before I even got out of the parking lot he texted me and told me he was seeing someone else and not to bother coming home that night. (I pay the rent)

I, of course, went back and waited til he got off work. I asked him what the heck happened and he said "I've been seeing her for a few months now, mainly when you went to work. We finally had sex this past weekend. you have no idea how hard it is for me to tell you this, but she wants to get serious and so do I." (As if me being with him for 3 years wasnt serious enough. He took my virginity and everything)

After that, without anything else, he got in the truck I bought him for his birthday and drove off. I have the keys to the house and his stuff is on the curb, though most of it was already taken by people who drive by.

I'm looking for a spell, not to harm him, but for him to see why what he did was wrong. I am a strong believer in karma and dont want 3 fold of whatever I give him. I just want him to see what he lost and why it was wrong that he cheated on me. Help! I'm so confused. I don't know what to do, or how to feel. I need help.?

I recently moved to a new state. About 5 months ago I had broken up with my boyfriend that I dated for like a year and half. I left him due to the way he treated me. But anyways, now I'm here and I've met a new guy. I've known him for like 3-4 weeks. I know it's not long, and right now I have that sexual physical attraction. Well we've been talking (just as friends) getting to know each other, and I think he is a great guy, he's got personality, heart, respect, confidence, and looks. He flirts and talks like he's interested, as do I. Then a day ago he tells me that he has a girlfriend of 4 years. All of a sudden my heart just drops. I wasn't expecting it. Well we talked about it, and he says that he is still interested in me, and that him and his girl are having problems anyways. He tells me that he finds me not only physically attractive but by personality as well (he says I'm a really great person). He says he's never cheated on her or looked at another girl in ways he does his girl. Then I come along and everything changes. He's let me do things that he's never let his girl, for instance I drove his truck and he's never let anybody drive his truck.

I feel terrible. I'm not the kind of person to get in between a couple. It's happened to me before and I would never want to do that to anybody. He has 4 years of history with her and I don't wanna come between that. I like him, I do. He is a great guy. I know I haven't known him long but you can't control how you fall. I just, I don't know what to do.

I've told him how I feel, and that I respect his relationship, and that I'm fine with being friends. I want him to leave her, but I don't want to be the one to break them up. I don't want to be associated with the break up at all. I'm disappointed though. It's just very difficult.
But when we hangout, it's so tempting. When I'm with him, it's like he makes me feel so comfortable, and I can be myself and not pretend to be someone I'm not.
Just I know this is all mixed up and I'm sorry, I can't think properly.

I have a jeep question. I'm looking to either buy a Rubicon, or a Wrangler X. Leaning more towards the "X"?

..simply because I won't be driving it in the conditions that would justify the upgrade to a Rubicon. Obviously the "X" will have a little softer ride than the rubicon because of the rubicons suspension too. My question has to do with tires. Will bigger tires, I'm mainly asking about wider, but please offer input on taller if you wish. Will wider tires make the ride of a jeep less ??? hmmm?? I guess you could say jerky. I've only ever driven silverado trucks and to be honest the steering of a jeep can be a little unnerving if you are not use to it. Also, do lifts on jeeps make the steering loser, or does it help in the "jerky-ness". Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

I just woke up from a very strange dream. A dump truck tries to run me and my younger brother over on a dirt road at a secluded rural area during the day. The place was a little hilly, and I don't remember who was driving the truck. We escaped because we were running up and down steep embankments and to places where the truck couldn't reach us. The truck was a single axle dump truck. I think this is the only time I have had a dream like this.

When I turn 16 my dad that lives at a different house is going to be giving me his truck, but there's no room in my drive way for a truck. So I would have to park on the side of my street, but the by laws/rules say that is not allowed. Obama says GOP drove economy into the ditch - what do you think of my analogy of the economy as a pickup truck?

So lets say the economy is a Pickup Truck - A truck stuck in the ditch on the side of the road and can't get traction to pull out of the ditch because of lack of solid ground - your moving slowly forward in the ditch.

Obama came to office (took the wheel) and he gave Congress the credit card and told them to go get a tow truck to pull the economy out of the ditch. Congress instead came back with a bunch of TVs, I-pods, furs, jewels and a couple 2X4s to put under the wheels to help get the truck (economy) out of the ditch. (They spent nearly a trillion dollars, but barely put any of it into things that would help the economy grow).

Now the Fed wanted to make sure it did it's part and came to the rescue, but instead of a tow truck it brought gas cans to fill up the gas tank. Obama then complains that the gas tank is full (banks & big companies have money) yet they aren't moving the economy down the road. Obama begins to rail how evil the gas tank is for holding all that gas and not pulling the truck out of the ditch. (Anyone with a little common sense realizes having a full Gas tank doesn't get you out of the ditch. Your tires are still spinning because you aren't on firm ground)

Now for some strange reason Obama has decided to get out the water hose and create more mud under the tires of the truck (by pushing for higher taxes) and decided to over inflate the tires of the truck (with greater regulations of industry) He seems to keep trying to steer into the ditch with his actions instead of pulling out of it.

Over the weekend Obama laid out another $50 billion stimulus plan focused on infrastructure of this country over the next 6 years. That's $8.33 billion a year or about 1% of the original Stimulus plan - this is like sticking a box of matches under the wheel of the truck and praying the sight of the match strike lighting under the wheel will distract everyone from the fact that the pickup truck doesn't move.

That is the analogy of the pickup truck as the economy - now the analogy of who is driving the truck.

Obama in his latest speeches about the economy in the ditch keeps saying don't give the wheel back to the GOP who drove us into the ditch.

This is a bit misleading - If Democrats are Jones and Republicans are the Smith - what Obama is saying George Smith drove us into the ditch so don't let Eric Smith back behind the wheel.

In 2006 Democrats won control of House & Senate - One of the 2 hands on the wheel of the pickup truck (economy). At the time the pickup truck drove into the ditch in 2008 the hands on the wheel were one of a Republican President and the other a Democrat controlled congress. Obama is now arguing don't give Republicans the wheel BACK- but it was the Democrats who controlled the Congress' hand on the wheel when the pickup truck went into the ditch. For the next almost 2 years under the full control of Democrats the pickup truck has inched down the ditch of recession, but is not back on solid ground because they have done everything to muddy the path and waste the money for the recovery.

IF A FARMER CAME ALONG WHAT WOULD HE DO TO GET YOUR PICKUP OUT OF THE DITCH. First he would tell you to get rid of all that extra weight in the pickup -(the excess spending and debt). Next he would deflate the tires -(reduce regulation to get better traction). Then he would put rocks and branches to make the ground more solid under the tires - (reduce taxes across the board). You then Steer back toward the road and drive out of the ditch.

MAY NOT BE THE PERFECT ANALOGY AND MANY MAY NOT AGREE - BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK ANYWAYS?

Due with 3rd child, GASTROSCHISIS & financial problems?

I'm approximately 17 weeks along and found out last week that my first daughter (I have two sons ages 4 and 1) has gastroschisis. I'm at a loss with what to do. I live in a very small town outside of Tallahassee and the hospital that I will have to deliver at is two hours away in Gainesville. With gastroschisis, it's almost a guarantee that preterm labor will happen, therefore I will want to make sure I'm close to the hospital at the end of my pregnancy. I've talked with my best friend's family that lives 30-45 minutes away from there (in Lake City), whom I've known for several years and they are welcoming my sons and I with open arms. My boyfriend will stay behind and finish his last year of college. We have next to NO MONEY, literally I have 4 dollars in my possession right now. I applied for food stamps last month and should be recieving a letter very soon. We're barely making it by as it is and I don't have a car of my own. My friend's mother said she'll drive me whenever I need it, but I'd prefer to have my own transportation. Currently, I'm using a 12 passenger van that is in my mom's name. I had my own truck a couple of years ago, but sold it and gave the money to my parents to help with bills, with the promise of getting a more economical car at a later time. And they let me use their company van until that was to happen, but shortly after that their business (that I was an employee of) started to fail and then my father passed away last May. My boyfriend lives across the street and I stay between houses for now. My mom's house is going into foreclosure and she's looking at being able to stay another 3 weeks at the most. While she is supporting me as best as she can, she still comes to me crying sometimes with the same feelings of confusion and worry that I have. I know I can make it through this, but I just don't know how. I would like advice from someone as if they are putting themselves in my position. Thank you so much.
LittleBarb - I see you are pretty negative a majority of the time when you answer other people's questions. I'm not expecting everyone to understand my situation. I guess I would be pretty miserable too if I went on yahoo answers all the time and tried to think of the rudest way to give people advice. So, thanks, but no thanks. What kind of help was your rant to me? I'm already pregnant and while I KNOW my situation will change for the better with time perseverance, whatever problems you have will always be there because you are a woman too negative and narrow-minded for your own good.

I was driving down the highway coming home yesterday and I looked out my rear view mirror and my car was billowing this blueish white smoke out the tailpipe. It was like I was smoke screening the highway. I looked down and my temperature was all the way up to the H. I was like 4 miles from home, so I gunned it to avoid paying for a tow truck. Teen: Security Told Me To Remove U.S. Flags
High School Student Has 3x5 Feet U.S. Flags In Truck Bed

NORTHGLENN, Colo. -- A high school student in Northglenn is upset that campus security told him to remove the large American flags flying from his pickup truck because it might make others uncomfortable.

Jeremy Stoppel told 7NEWS he got a ticket at Northglenn High School last Thursday for squealing his tires. He said he deserved that ticket and deserved having his parking lot pass suspended for two weeks.

But he's upset that campus security then told him he can't fly his 3 feet by 5 feet flags in the bed of his pickup truck anymore.


"She said I should take my flags down. She said this is a school that focuses on diversity and she doesn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable," Stoppel said. "How do you suppose anyone would feel uncomfortable in America with an American flag? That's where I'm confused."

He said he started flying his flags around school last week.

"Now that I finally get to drive to school, I have a truck, that's what I want to do. I want to fly my flags. September 11th is coming up so I wanted to fly them in honor of that," said Stoppel, who said his cousin is serving in the Navy.

Stoppel and his father want an apology from that security supervisor.

"To me, she's just threatening him, hoping that she can just bully him so he'll just take 'em down and just put his tail between his legs and say, 'I'm done. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.' And that's just not gonna happen," said Dan Stoppel, Jeremy's father.

7NEWS checked and the school has no policy against flying the American flag. In fact, Northglenn High School has a U.S. flag on the flag pole in front of the school.

"I am unaware of that situation. So I need to talk to that person, see why they did that, if they did that," said Northglenn High School principal Dr. Mary Lindimore. "We have 'em in the hallways upstairs. So we promote flying of American flags."

There is a policy that bans anything that creates a safety problem or which disrupts the educational environment.

When 7NEWS asked Lindimore if she could imagine any scenario in which the American flag would disrupt the educational environment, Lindimore said no.

Lindimore promised to talk to the security supervisor next week.
Every school flies the American flag as well as their state flag.

Last friday I went to a football game with my brother-in-law cousin (not blood related). we drank some beer at the game and all, anyway after the game her aunt was picking us up since we couldnt drive home i had my arm around her shoulder at that time. My brother in law cousin works at a bar so she asked me if i wanted to go chill with her there and drinks. She didnt want me paying for the beer so she gave it to me and only me for free As time passed I was talking to some old friends i saw there and my brother in law cousin name is mindy so mindy sat next to me at the bar saying i been looking everywhere for you matt (My name).

we sat next to each other she every now and then touched my arm when we were talking and i put my hand on ehr knee and she didnt move it, a few minutes later we danced all i remember is that she was grinding on me and i had my arms around her at the same time. As time passed i was wasted lol so mindy bought me back to my brother in law house since i was staying there for the night. we pulled up and i couldnt make it up the stairs so she helped me and helped me get my pants off ( not the sexual way) i laid down on the sofa and i asked her to come by me and she said she had to go back bc she got asked to work so i waved my arm for her to come by and she did and she said thank you for coming to the game with her and i gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Last night I went out with her again to the bar and this time i drove as we were walking to my truck I put my arm around her shoulder then i moved it down to her waist and she didnt say or do anything. I slept by her place on the sofa and her in her room but before we went to bed she said the tv remote is here you can watch whatever and i said i cant bc your but is in my way and i gave it a light slap and i said laughing what that a jiggle? and she laughed (we were a lil tipsy). She is the type of girl who goes out to the bars almost everynight and sees her friends guys and girls and they kiss her on the cheek so i dont think she is the shy type. I dont want sex right now bc i like to take things slow but I really want to kiss her or her to just lay a kiss on me. does she even seem interested in me in anyway???? I would love a kiss from her why doesnt she kiss me if she is interested? i think that she is just being nice to me and is afraid to let me know and make me feel down. she doesnt get drunk easy so she was sober
